A note about airport noise on the northshore for properties in Sprecklesville that offer windsurfing access: these homes are near the runway of the airport so the jet noise is loud when they take off during all hours of the day and night, starting ~6:30 am until ~11pm. Many people have lived there for years and visiting windsurfers consider it a necessary nuisance to have the best windsurfing beach access. The good news is that 99% of the time there is no jet noise since they take off on average every 30 minutes during the day, and every few hours during the night, though not bad enough to wake most people since they are prop-planes during the night.
